Steve Hamvas is a Principal in our Atlanta office. His responsibilities include client relations, coordination of engineering design and drafting, proposals, scheduling, and construction administration. Steve has been responsible for projects throughout the United States and worldwide, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Canada. He has managed low-rise to high-rise projects, including buildings constructed with structural steel, concrete, masonry, and wood, for new construction, additions, and renovations. He has been with SDL since 1993. Steve received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Tufts University and a Master of Eng. in Civil Engineering from Cornell University. He is certified in ATC-20 Post-Earthquake Safety Evaluation of Buildings and in ATC-45 Safety Evaluation of Buildings after Windstorms and Floods. Steve is a member of AISC, PCI, SEAOG, ACI, Steel Framing Alliance, ASCE, and NCEES.
