Peer Reviews

Stanley D. Lindsey and Associates, Ltd. (SDL) performs structural peer reviews of projects. Typically these peer reviews are performed after the design is complete but before the building is constructed. SDL will write a brief report for the client at the end of the review period.

SDL will perform an independent lateral load analysis for wind and/or seismic loads, check representative members of the lateral load resisting system, review the geotechnical report, check the foundation for conformance to the geotechnical report, check representative members of the floor and roof framing for gravity loads, review representative details of the lateral load resisting system, review the wind tunnel report (if any), review representative typical details on the drawings, and review the General Notes and Specifications.

Founded in 1966, SDL has extensive experience in virtually every type of structure located throughout the United States and overseas, including cultural, education, government, healthcare, hospitality, housing, industrial, laboratories, mixed use, office, parking, religious, retail, sports, and specialty structures. SDL’s engineers are registered in 46 states (plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Saskatchewan and the US Virgin Islands) and have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering; Doctoral degrees are held by 4 of SDL’s engineers. With this wide range of project experience and qualified personnel, SDL is well suited to perform peer reviews.
